Ready
The first step is a thorough assessment of the size and complexity of the applications, the customer’s migration goals, and the testing procedures for the conversion project. The Ready program provides a detailed written report, as well as a fixed-cost proposal for completing the migration.
Under the guidance of our expert consultants, the Ready program is normally a 5-day onsite engagement that develops a complete assessment of the business and technical environment of your systems. Through a combination of interviews with your team and both automated and manual inspections of your source code, we create an optimized plan for the migration, identify critical issues, and provide recommendations for the target architecture. We also deliver a fixed-cost proposal and a project schedule. Even if you opt to tackle the actual migration without our help, you'll find the results of the Ready program valuable in understanding the scope of the task and some of the issues you’ll face.
Set
There are projects whose complexity or magnitude requires that a critical issue or the overall migration strategy be validated by means of an optional pilot project or "proof of concept".
Through the Set program we can migrate a representative piece of code to study the feasibility of the complete project. This program includes consultancy by a senior ArtinSoft migration engineer that can either work side-by-side with you and your team or execute the entire pilot project independently. A Set program is entirely optional, and we’ve found that the vast majority of our clients are comfortable enough to jump directly to the Go program, based on the detailed plan and fixed-price cost proposal we create during the Ready phase.
Go
The Go program delivers the full migration of your existing application, based on the findings and recommendations developed in the Ready program.
