During the month of August, ArtinSoft expert Christian Saborío assisted Microsoft during a High Performance Computing Deep Dive. This event is targeted towards Microsoft customers and partners who are working in evolving their application so that it works with Microsoft Compute Cluster Edition.
The event lasted one week and Mr. Saborío had the chance to work closely with Chip Ganassi Racing (http://www.chipganassiracing.com). Chip Ganassi uses HPC to simulate their logic process in engine creation and car modeling.
Their infrastructure is based around MatLab, which uses the HPC scheduler to carry out the series of parallel tasks to obtain their calculations. Chip Ganassi received assistance in setting up the infrastructure with Compute Cluster and helped them with all the components that needed help.
The event was a complete success, and starting October 9th, ArtinSoft will be back in Redmond assisting many other customers in getting their application ready for the next generation high performance computing operating system.
